Meet The Owner
University of Florida graduate Chuck Larsen incorporated Gator Air & Energy in 2009 with the goal of providing Gainesville residents with the most efficient, energy-conscious HVAC systems available. Originally working exclusively for GRU as a private contractor in the Low Income Energy Improvement Program (LEEP), Gator Air & Energy installed energy-saving HVAC units, performed duct sealing, and provided other energy upgrades to low-income households in Gainesville for a year before expanding its services.

Gator Air and Energy is Gainesville’s most energy efficient HVAC contractor. In 2010, the company became Gainesville’s only RESNET “Certified EnergySmart” HVAC contractor. We care about your comfort, your wallet, and the environment; which is why when we visit your home for any air conditioning service, we inspect your entire home and unit to find ways to save energy and reduce utility costs.
Saving money is the other focus at Gator Air and Energy. When you save energy, you can also save money on utility bills, repair costs, and replacement costs. Gator Air and Energy wants to give you the best possible fix for any of your heating and cooling problems. Until your unit is at least twelve years old, we will never try to convince you to buy a new system when your old one can likely be repaired.

Gator Air and Energy supports the community by using products made in America and distributed locally when possible, and the company also preserves the environment by recycling all cardboard, mercury, and scrap metal. Gator Air & Energy is a member of the Builder’s Association of North Central Florida and the U.S. Green Building Council Heart of Florida Chapter.
